Arkansas Delegates to the
American Society of Health-System Pharmacists
The Arkansas Association of Health-System Pharmacists (AAHP) has three delegates elected to serve in the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) House of Delegates in accordance with ASHP bylaws. Delegates serve a 3 year term beginning the January after the election cycle. During the AAHP election cycle, members must submit their intent to run for the position along with a brief biographical/professional sketch in writing to the AAHP secretary or designee. The election cycle begins in July/August, and all nominees must be active members of ASHP and AAHP before submitting their intention to run for this elected office. The election is then conducted, and the president shall serve notice to the elected delegate(s) before the AAHP Fall Seminar. ASHP delegate(s) will be inducted at the AAHP Fall Seminar prior to their first year of their elected term.
Delegates vote in the ASHP House of Delegates on behalf of AAHP. Delegates also provide a report at the AAHP board meetings regarding upcoming topics to be voted on and the voting results of the ASHP House of Delegates annual meeting.
